Fashion designer, Mr Cecil Duddley Mends has been adjudged fashion Ambassador at this year’s Ghana Peace Awards held at the State Banquette Hall on Saturday, October 28.
Ghana Peace Awards is an award that recognizes passionate leaders who take on challenges for the greater good, encouraging the next generation of leaders that have genuinely excelled in various spheres of life and have contributed to the advancement of Ghanaians and Africans.
Cecil Duddley Mends who is the CEO of CDM Fashion Couture, a modern state of the art Fashion Couture in Ghana that focuses mainly on fashion shows in Africa and Europe, didn’t only win the Fashion Designer of the year award because of his immense progress in Ghana’s Fashion,but was also honored because he gave people hope from the hopelessness by training more than 1,000 people for free that can put food on their tables.
His passion for making good clothes was born in the suburbs of winneba in the Central Region.At 14 Years,he was picking out and sewing back together fabrics and experimenting with his neighbor’s garments,a few bad cuts here and there, thereby gaining a reputation as a young Taylor.
