Accra Hearts of Oak’s defender Vincent Atingah has been declared a floating player by the GFA Player Status Committee.
The towering defender’s contract at Hearts run out at the end of the 2016/2017 league season and he was subsequently granted floating status after appearing before the FA Status Committee on Thursday.
Talks between Atingah and Hearts of Oak is said to have broken down after both parties could not agree on a fee for the extension.
As it stands now, Hearts of Oak will not get any money in Atingah’s next move as he is 24-year-old and above the stipulated age for developmental fee or compensation.
Austrian giants Wien as well as an unnamed Ghana Premier League side are said to be the front runners for his signature.
Atingah joined Hearts of Oak from Ebusua Dwarfs in 2014 and rose to become a pillar at the heart of their defence.
