As a chartered Accountant,many showbiz enthusiasts would anticipate Sam Martey to only spend most of his time crunching figures but he also has passion for music which has led to the release of two albums under his name.
Currently enjoying a fair amount of airplay on several radio stations across the country are songs from his 10-track second collection called ‘Come and See’ which has been released on the BRM production label.
’ album were recorded by Rob Hewes in Canada and the track that has popped up as many people’s favorite is ‘Baahe Oshidaa”
Martey,who is based in Canada,comes from Teshie in the Greater Accra Region and the song, rendered in Ga,has a strong ‘dzama’feel that easily compels one to dance.
Starting off as a young chorister in the Assemblies of God Church,his debut album came out in 2015 but did not catch much attention due to inadequate promotion.
He has now learnt more about the music business since then and the current album(Come and See) is doing enormously well.
Other songs on the album include How Beautiful,lose him,Born to Raise,Holy Spirit,The Great Sacrifice and I canNOT thank you enough.
